Create in Me a Clean Heart (Psalm 51)

Above all else, guard your heart,    for everything you do flows from it.Keep your mouth free of perversity;    keep corrupt talk far from your lips.Let your eyes look straight ahead;    fix your gaze directly before you.Give careful thought to the paths for your feet    and be steadfast in all your ways.Do not turn to the right or the left;    keep your foot from evil. Taste and See that the Lord is Good (Psalm 34)

No Easy Day

The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”  On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor.
