Do not fret because of those who are evil     or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither,     like green plants they will soon die away. Trust in the Lord and do good;     dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord,     and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord;     trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,     your vindication…

Lord, you have been our dwelling place     throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born     or you brought forth the whole world,     from everlasting to everlasting you are God… Teach us to number our days,     that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Relent, Lord! How long will it be?     Have compassion on your servants. Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,     that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. Psalm 90:1-2,12-14
